Jojo

Awwwwwwwwww...look at this cute dog!!!!! His name is Jojo (as you can see from the picture, lol)..He is a Terrier Mix. He needs a home!
Ok, here is the story..
Jojo was to be put down or put to sleep if he was not adopted until last Thursday. So my co-worker, Jen, she called every of her friends telling about Jojo situation hoping that someone would adopt him. She alsoo kinna begged me into adopting Jojo coz she doesnt want Jojo to be put down. Ohhhh Jen.......Jen is the other Intern by the way. She is a fun gal. She smiles a lot. And She loves animals to death. She told me, she has 4 dogs at her house right now (including her roommate's dogs). She is planning to get another dog, named Missy....
Ok..since nobody wanted to adopt Jojo, Jen decided to take him out of the shelter. Thanks Jen!! So now, Jen has 6 dogs at her house!!! Although she is just fostering Jojo and another dog now until they find a home because she and her roommates cant afford to have 6 dogs at their house. Now, Jen's like telling me about Jojo!! She said, Jojo is a sweet dog..he is houseborken, but he still needs to get neutered. Hmphh..
Then, I told her that I would bring my twin brother to see Jojo next week.

If Jojo interacts well with both of us, there might be a possibility that we will adopt Jojo!!! hahahaha
Oh gosh..this is a big decision, dont you think? I ve never had a dog!!!! but I soo want to have a dog since I was a little kid. But my mom doesnt like animals at all. That's why we cant have dogs when we were a little kid...Sad, isnt it? :P

But anyway..we'll see how it goes later. I hope Jojo will put his best behavior when he meets us next week if he wants to get adopted :D
He looks kinna sad, doesnt he? Maybe he misses someone to love him..well Jojo...We will see you next week!! :D

Nastar? or PineApple Cookie?

Okay.. Im officially wiped out!! It took me 3 hours to make Nastar (Pineapple roll)!!! Oh Gosh!!...The most tiring part was when I rolled the dough into ball shape and filled it with Pineapple jam. Now..I made those pineapple jam from scratch!! Gosh!! It took forever to boil too! ...But hey.. I managed to take pictures.

The first pic on the left is the nastar dough...Looks kinna cute, doesnt it? hihihi. I made 2 batches of that many rolls. I even had a leftover for the dough. I was too tired to roll of it and plus I didnt have much time left because we had to go out to dinner at my friend's house. So,,today I only made 2 batches. I thought that was enough for today..I ll continue to make it tomorrow, if I have a chance. Hmm...I hope the dough will be ok though.

The mixer works really well ..Wow..that is something for a 6-dollar-mixer! I also used the food scale. Works pretty well too! :D tee hee hee..
Oh well...I had my friends tried the cake, but Im surprised that they say it tastes pretty good. I think they were just saying that!!! Guys..please dont do that..I feel really bad if you still eat it even if you dont like it.. hmmphh..but thanks anyway.

Ok..the pic on the right is the Nastar taken right from the oven! Still warm and look at that golden color!!! mmmmm...This is actually my second batch..the size is smaller than the first batch..I think this is the right size for nastar.






The pic on the left is my first batch! hihi..Looks a lil bit pale compared to the second batch. hihih..
I hope anybody who tried this wont have a stomachache..hahaha..




Ok..Im completey wiped out..my hands aches...pfffft...
Tomorrow I will go to Minnesota..just for a weekend though.. I ll be back on Sunday.
I hate it that my comp doesnt give us a day off on July 3rd!!! Tsk tsk ts...Why cant they let us take a day off...I just had a talk with my co-worker this afternoon. He feels the same way like I do. We dont feel appreciated at all. And whats worse is.. We have been working for like 7 weeks, but up until today, we only got paid for 4 weeks..so where's my money for the rest of 3 weeks?
Danggg...I think they seriously need a new management because from my educational experience as MBA, I feel like their management style is really badddddd.... That is showed from the demotivation of all of the employees!! I was told that their employees in DSM was really demotivated.. that they didnt even try to make a good sales on the special day they had a promotion! Dangg... Im not surprised when I heard that.

Yeah..luckily, Im only here for 2 more months, and I ll be outta here... :D
Summer is supposed to be the most fun season of the year..but why am I having such a crappy time? *sigh* Well...at least Im not alone..T feels the same way too..hahaha.. we'll suffer together.

Tragedy at Disney MGM- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith

Oh gosh..I just read from CNN.com that another boy dies when riding Disney's attraction! This is the third time..after the first kid (4-year-old) died when he rode "Mission Space" at Epcot Center. Tsk tsk tsk...
Ok..this time..this boy , 12-year-old, died after he rode Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith at Disney MGM. It's really terrible. I cant tell you the whole story but the kid collapsed right after the ride stopped. Read the full story, Disney Tragedy from CNN.com.

I actually rode that roller coaster when I went to Orlando, Florida with bunch of my friends this past May. Those of you who dont know me.. I ammm terribly terrified with the thing called Roller Coaster!!!! I dont know why people love the to ride that thing!!!! It makes me feel super tingly and my heart cant stop beating really fast. I guess, that's what called Adrenaline Rush, huh....
So anyway..I went to all 4 Disney Themepark: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM. And I rode almost all the coasters, thanks to my friends!!! hahahah...The most terrifying coaster is the Incredible Hulk!!! Oh gosh.. I felt like I was gonna fly off from the rail!!! It was super fast and it turned us upside down!!! Crap!! And usually when the coaster starts, it will go up slowlyyyy then it will speed up when it's going down...but boy!!! This Hulk....we blasted off right when the coaster started!!! I felt like I was riding a rocket or something. Dizzy!!! hmphh. but it was fun.

So anyway...this Rock n Roller Coaster that the boy ride..I think it's not really scary.. Watch Rock 'n' Roller Video to see a glimpse of the ride. Actually, this particular roller coaster is in top of my list of "Not so Scary Roller Coaster"...lol..But maybe it's too much for the boy. Im so sorry for the family.
Hmphhh...Let's wish that the family will be strong and stay hopeful throughout this bad times.

Mixer and Food Scale

Today I just bought a new mixer and a food scale from Walmart!! Yayyyyyyyyy...
Before I went there, I actually went to Goodwill and Salvation Army hoping that I would find a cheap used mixer or a food scale so I dont have to spend much money to buy brand new (since I dont bake all the time). So yeah.. I found it alright at Salvation Army. But oh mannn...it was a super old mixer! It was super heavy and the design was damn old! I think that was back from 50's!! hahahaa...The color is brown, with big orange switcher..oh gosh..super ugly. It's only 3 dollars though. But nahhh...I can do better than that. So I went to walmart, after convincing -s- million times that I want the mixer now!!! :P He said that I dont need those things until next week since we are going to out of town this weekend. But hey.. what Mony wants right now..she'll make sure she's getting it!!! (in a good way thoughhhhhhh...)

There were plenty of nice shoes too at Goodwil today, but too bad most of them were 6.5 (size). I wear 7.5! (big feet, huh?!)...For those of you who think that Goodwill is the place fo crappy stuffs, you might be wrong. Of course..most of them are used stuffs, but sometimes if we get lucky, we'll get new stuffs (stuffs that people bought that they've never used). I usually go there just to find cute shoes! tee hee hee...I find it really fun going there..just like a treasure hunt because we'll never know what we're going to get that day. LOL

Hmm..we also went to Jung's Asian Store to buy stuffs to cook Chicken Noodle Indonesian style, and Batagor (fried fish paste)! I got the recipe from my best friend's hubby! ahhaha Obviously he likes to cook more than I do. So I steal his recipe! :P..I talked for a bit with the new owner (He is Indonesian but have been living here for quite a hile)..he wants to order a bunker of ice cream from the company that Im interning for. So yeah.. I ll talk to my boss about that. I ll see what I can do. :P

Ok..It's about 10:35pm..Im still at my second job here.. I cant wait to go home..Feels like time flew just like that (after work)...but why it feels forever at my office? hmphh

Today is a pretty exhausting day.. I dont know why..for some reason I feel super tired today. What's worse is I have a headache and I've been sneezing all day! Hmphh..no fun at all..
Ohh..last night I have bunch of my friends tried my Cupcake Cheesecake while I was working.... I also brought two to work to give it to my professor and my friend there.. tee hee hee..Im glad everyone likes my first cheesecake..I hope this is not just a beginner's luck!!! *knock on wood*
When I was driving home from work, one of my friends called me and said that he really likes the cheesecake!! How nice is that... :) Thanks!!
Soo.. Im planning to make it again soon so that my twin bro can try it. Too bad that he can only see the pictures of the cheesecake from this blog since he is so far away from home right now. However, Im sure he doesnt mind since he got plenty of good food over there in Malaysia!!! *jelous* ..I told him to bring lots of snacks from Malaysia ,, hehehehe..
Ohhh...he bought me a sweet wallet too from Malaysia.....how nice... It's a Guy Laroche and it's white...Meee likeyyyyy!! Arigatoo Godaimazzzzz..

Ok..after work..I felt soo tired...I felt like I was gonna collapse..hmphhh..and -s- said that my temperature was high. no wonder I felt like crap!...So I laid myself on the bed and took a rest for a bit while he was cooking our dinner "empal"!!!! :) Arigatooo Godaimazzzzzzzzz...
Im a lucky gal, I guess :)

Anyhow..then, my mom and dad called me..and it's so sad to hear from my dad that one of our old friend's mom just had a heart attack and she passed away!!! :( Im soo sorry to hear that.
I know my old friend back from our church in Jakarta. Im not sure if she still remembers me but I sure do remember them because her dad was actually one of the pastors at our church. *sigh* ..What's weird is..the mother just got out of heart surgery in Malaysia and even the doctors said that the surgery was succesful!! She was told to go home last Friday since doctors claimed that she was well enough. But then...maybe because of the rehabilitation for the heart that she had to take..her heart just died on her the next morning while she was sleeping!!! :( Well...the good news is..she died in her sleep ..no pain..
I hate it when I hear this kind of sad news!!! Well...we cant do anything except just to pray for the family so they will be strengthen...amen..

Before going back home, I stopped by at Goodwill in search for Mixer for baking cakes..hahaha.. I want to try to bake another cakes!! Maybe NASTAR (english translation: pineapple rolls)!! ..haihaiha.. I've made those before long time ago with my cousin so Im not sure if I can still make it after all this time. But Im gonna try!!

I know.. I know.. you would think this would be a temporary hobby since I get bored easily. But heyyyy..if Im good at it..who knows I will open my own bakery some day!!! hahah AMEN (note the CAPS...meaning I need more HOPE ) LOL
So yeah.. I need to start buy the mixer!! I ll just buy the cheapest one for now since Im still amateur.. :P I ll upgrade if I can make more stuffs in the future :P

Ok..Im ready to hit the sack now.. so tired..hmphh..

I hate Monday!

Oh my.. I cant believe it is Monday again!! When I woke up this morning..the first thing that came into my mind was.. "danggg.. I have to go to work again..stay for 8 hours there"!!! Argh..take a shower..choose an outfit..yidi yada...off we go to B.S.
Then I met Travis there...he said the same thing "Cant you believe it's Monday again?" "Now we have 5 days until weekend!" hahaha...that's Travis by the way...another Intern at B.S comp. He is a Marketing Intern there. We always count how many days left until weekend everyday!! LOL..

Anyhow..today I was still working on the Ecommerce website for them. For some reason, the template in Catalog Details was weird!! I didnt even change anything on the Design Menu. O gosh.. I was so freaked out.. I thought I did something wrong and I couldnt get it back to normal. I was soo nervous..I hate when this kind of thing happens you know..when I dont know what's wrong with it and I have to guess! I hate guessing...Plus..Im not really a Graphic Design or Website design person.. I've only have limited knowledge about that. Now, here I am..struggling to make this thing work! Im MBA student...not a designer...*sigh*
But anyhow..I guess..that's a challenge for me and I should strive to make things work!! Amen..

So since I have tried to fix that and nothing worked...plus it got weirder and weirder..I started to call the Web Consultant. The first guy I talked to was confused as well. He didnt know what caused that, so he said he'll talk to a more-experienced person and he'll get back to me. Ok...I dont really believe that..So I logged in to the Online Chat with the consultant...By the way..this is cool..we can log in and chat with the web consultant from this provider (Register.com). Well..they claim to be the friendliest customer service Web Hosting ever ...but not really. I had few sales rep hang up on me while I was asking questions!! How rude!
Anyhow, the key was to talk with someone you've talked to before. So I asked him to transfer me to the person I knew..and he helped me..well..he had to get back to me too on that.. I guess it's not a simple matter then.

AFter work..I and dx3 went to the North Grand because she wants to buy some perfumes for her mom at VS. While I just wanted to get my free Menthol LipGloss from Bath and Body Works coupon. But wait...there's a catch!! That coupon only works with any purchase. Dont you hate it? Then I bought a Mandarin Orange soap bar for only $1. hihihi.. I guess that's still a gain because the lipgloss costs around 7.50. :)

Soooo...Im working on my second job here at my prof's house. It's only 9.20pm!! Oh man..I wanna go homeee...Im soo tiredddddddddd....Miss my bed.. :(

Cupcake Cheesecake

Helloooo.. today I made my very first cupcake cheesecake..I have never made any cake before, so this is my first one (FROM SCRATCH!!)..woo hoooo...
I made like 24 pieces....To my surprise, it actually tastes pretty good (says -s- and -b-) or maybe they re just saying it -_-''!!!! .tee..hee..hee....
Taa...daaaaaaaaa............

Maybe next time I ll try to add some filling...For the second batch, I used chocolate chips for the filling rather than just for the topping....
Today. we just went to church and had lunch at Thai Kitchen...and off we went to Hyvee to buy the cheesecake ingredients. Hmm...and I just found out that Hyvee sometimes has higher price than Walmart..I bought the cupcake pan for more than $6 while Walmart only sells it for $4 something. Danggg...

Anyhow, Sunday is officially over now...*sigh*, I have to work again tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I really hope that I got the day off on July 3rd..but..yeah right..
It would be a miracle.
Maybe we are going to KC or MN for the weekend...still waiting for the news.

Shop shop..

Olaaaa...
Today is a cloudy day...raining..tsk tsk....cozy for sleeping but unfortunately I dont have the pleasure to sleep since I gotta work!!!
Anyhow...yesterday (Saturday), I and dx3 went to DSM. We met Aling there and went straight to the mall!! It was a fun day..and a special day as well.
I cant really tell in details since I always try to not betoo open in this blog since it is in public space (Privacy Law...) LOL :) However, all I can tell is yesterday was a pretty special day. I got a surprise right in the morning..a pretty freaky surprise! But it the end..it was all great :) Thank you.
Anyhow, in addition to that, I got to hang out with dx3 and aling too. We shopped.....hahaha.. someone shopped a lot!! But it was a pretty good deal anyhow.
After that, I had dinner with -s- @ Olive Garden. O my gosh..the food was awesome. I like the toscana soup a lot. And the salad was pretty good too!
I had the Asiago something... (it's a seafood pasta with creamy garlic sauce..yumm)...-s- had chicken alfredo...yum too!!!
The service was pretty awesome as well...no wonder it's always full out there!

ok..im so sleepy now.. gotta go to sleep for tomorrow!!!

Good morning...

Hellooo worldddddddd...
It's been 2 days since I wrote my last blog..I ve been sooo busy..
I kept coming home late for these past 2 days so I didnt really have time to sit in front of my comp and write my blog :D

so anyway...hmm..Thank you for whoever you are who wrote comment for my last posting. It actually makes sense what it says. But the question is..is what I have right now a true friendship? :) I surely hope so..
I thought everyting would get better after we had a talk..but nopee..I dont feel any progress :D
But anyway...that's ok..maybe it needs time to heal..In the mean time I'll enjoy my life and hang out with my other friends.

Last night, we had a surprise party for one of my best friends...She has a dog, named Willy Wonka!!! hihihi cute, isnt it?? He is adorableeeee...makes me want to have a dog too..but thinking about that he will poop or pee anywhere at home makes me change my mind.*LOL* Maybe someday, when I have my own house, I will get a little cute dog, who will not shed, who will know where to pee and where to poop, and who is not noisy! LOL....yeah right...
We stayed there until midnight..yupe, It was way past my bed time!!!!So here I am, sitting in the office with a headache and eyes that sooo want to close..
But I like the birthday cake though..Tsk tsk..I think that was the best cake ever..It was a canoly cake (if I spell that right)..yummmm...

So..hint hint...on my birthday...please buy me that cakeeee for my birthday cake..I am bored with tiramisu and Hyvee cakes...hihihihi... LOL

Missing the old times..

Today...I was busy designing and building an ecommerce website for B.S comp. Taking product pictures and building the website...hmm...it's not my kinna field but I manage to survive up until today (Thank God!). And the most important thing is I am approaching the next payday on 22nd!! Yayyyy...
It is really weird though...to my knowledge, every company usually has payday every 15th and 31st (the mid and end of month)...but this one..it's every 6th and 22nd! How weird is that...-_-''

Anyhow, I am feeling better about my problem...it's not fixed yet.but Im just tired to keep trying to make things work alone by myself...I figure, it takes two to fix this up...so if the other end doesnt care..I really have no choice..hmmm...sounds sad, doesnt it? The problem is..I feel I think too worked up about this stuff..and I dont see whats the point..we cant really force someone to be our best friend, can we? Blahhhhhhhh...see!!! Im doing it again!!! Ok..enough of this..

Well...maybe it's true then the saying about we will feel better when we write our problems..It's like a channel to express your true feelings and stuffs.. tee hee hee..
I feel a bit better day by day....I just wish I will meet someone new and start all over again..You know what...maybe it's time for me to move out from this lil' city...
I have been living here for like 6 years..lots of memories, but it's time to build a new one..

Next destination: plan for future...plan to moving on and outta from Ames!!! :)

Wow...this is really weird..
I just posted my recent blog before I went to church this morning..I was sharing in my blog about my friendship problem. But then...the most amazing thing happened!!
At the church, the pastor preached to us about the friendship between David and Jonathan. He told us that what friendship really means and on what kind of friendship is we have to look for..

1. It has to be Rooted in GOD.
2. It has to be built by LOVE.
3. It has to be sustained by COMMITMENT.

It feels like God is listening to my prayer and He answers my questions that I have in my heart. It is very cool, isnt it!!...The perfect timing, the perfect message..hmm...Well, thats just another sign that God does exist and He loves us.

Anyhow, after church, we went to our friend's birthday party. I met my friends there. I think everything went well. I had a good time there and I didnt feel any "weird" feeling. Maybe because I've surrendered my problems to God. I figure, God will give me a good friend to me but I have to be one too. So..let's just enjoy this life, shall we..

It's been a while..

Hmm..
It's been a while since I wrote my last blog.. So many things has happened since then.
Good times....bad times...all collides into one.
Just a quick run through..I've finished my MBA Spring semester in May. Since April, I started my job search for Summer internship. I ve gone to lots of jon interviews. Then, by the grace of God, I got 3 job offers for summer internship. I was confused..which one should I choose? Actually, I preferred K company since that means I would work together with my best friends, but K company doesnt pay well. (Note: I m using initial to respect the Privacy Law of the company, tee.. hee.. hee)
Then, after some considerations, I chose my current job now as the Database Administrator at B.S because they pay a decent salary compared to the others.

Here I am now, ve been working for 1 month 1 week at that place.
My life becomes soo dull since Ive had this job. I dont have time to hang out with my best friends anymore. Little by little I was drifted apart from them. That what makes me sad now.
Sometimes I wonder, what could I have done to prevent this from happening? Should I work at K not B.S? Should I hang with them every nite? Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Everything has been done now..I guess...the only thing thats bothering me is.. I feel like Im losing my best friend. I know I was at fault too since Ive been busy with my things and job.. I dont have time for her anymore. But I wish she would just come up to me and say what she truly feels before everything is too late. Now, I ve apologized and I ve tried to make things better. But, why am I still having this feeling??
Sometimes I wake up in the morning thinking that I am losing someone's dear to me. How sad is that? But anyway, I ve done my part and I did my best. I know Im not the perfect true friend, but I am learning on how to be one.
Only God can help..and hopefully things will get better.

I guess thats it for now, since I gotta take a shower and head out to church..
