Chinese Zodiac

Yesterday during class, I and Debby were talking about Chinese Zodiac. It is super funny. I've never thought that there's at least a lil' bit of truth behind this Chinese Zodiac. Whatever zodiac we have can determine part of our personality. And yesterday (yes, we talked during class, since the class was super boring!!), me and Deb were telling stories on how our personality is completely different with our bf's personality and that could be explained by this Chinese Zodiac. Unbelievable!!! We were laughing all the time although the class was still in progress. She is a Pig and her bf is a Dog, while I am a Dog and my bf is a Pig.
Sooo.. let's see if your zodiac really comes into play in your personality.

DOG

1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

PIG

1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007

People born in the Year of the Pig are chivalrous and gallant. Whatever they do, they do with all their strength. For Boar Year people, there is no left or right and there is no retreat. They have tremendous fortitude and great honesty. They don't make many friends but they make them for life, and anyone having a Boar Year friend is fortunate for they are extremely loyal. They don't talk much but have a great thirst for knowledge. They study a great deal and are generally well informed. Boar people are quick tempered, yet they hate arguments and quarreling. They are kind to their loved ones. No matter how bad problems seem to be, Boar people try to work them out, honestly if sometimes impulsively. They are most compatible with Rabbits and Sheep.

Monkey

1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004

People born in the Year of the Monkey are the erratic geniuses of the cycle. Clever, skillful, and flexible, they are remarkably inventive and original and can solve the most difficult problems with ease. There are few fields in which Monkey people wouldn't be successful but they have a disconcerting habit of being too agreeable. They want to do things now, and if they cannot get started immediately, they become discouraged and sometimes leave their projects. Although good at making decisions, they tend to look down on others. Having common sense, Monkey people have a deep desire for knowledge and have excellent memories. Monkey people are strong willed but their anger cools quickly. They are most compatible with the Dragon and Rat.

RAM/GOAT

1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003

People born in the Year of Ram are elegant and highly accomplished in the arts. They seem to be, at first glance, better off than those born in the zodiac's other years. But ram year people are often shy, pessimistic, and puzzled about life. They are usually deeply religious, yet timid by nature. Sometimes clumsy in speech, they are always passionate about what they do and what they believe in. Ram people never have to worry about having the best in life for their abilities make money for them, and they are able to enjoy the creature comforts that they like. Ram people are wise, gentle, and compassionate. They are compatible with Rabbits, Pigs, and Horses.

RAT

1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996

People born in the Year of the Rat are noted for their charm and attraction for the opposite sex. They work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. They are basically thrifty with money. Rat people are easily angered and love to gossip. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful. They are most compatible with people born in the years of the Dragon, Monkey, and Ox.

ROOSTER

1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005

People born in the Year of the Rooster are deep thinkers, capable, and talented. They like to be busy and are devoted beyond their capabilities and are deeply disappointed if they fail. People born in the Rooster Year are often a bit eccentric, and often have rather difficult relationship with others. They always think they are right and usually are! They frequently are loners and though they give the outward impression of being adventurous, they are timid. Rooster people¡¦s emotions like their fortunes, swing very high to very low. They can be selfish and too outspoken, but are always interesting and can be extremely brave. They are most compatible with Ox, Snake, and Dragon.

I hate Monday!

I can't believe it's Monday again..hmphh...This is going to be a busy Monday for me.. I have a group meeting right at 11.30 for tomorrow's presentation and then work until 5pm then night class until 9.30pm, and then..go to work until 11.30pm!!! Woo ...hoo...

Anyway...have I told to you that me and my friends are going to hold an event for Indo ladies living here in Ames? It's going to be on Saturday, Nov 4. This is actually pioneered by -dx3- to gather all Indo ladies so we can hang out and eat bunch of food (potluck party). Do you know that we only have a total of 20 Indo ladies here?? We used to have a lot of Indonesians here. I remember when I came here, we have around 300 Indonesians go to ISU. But now, I think it's only 80 people total. Wow..where does everybody go?
So anyway..yupe..so for all of you who are a female and Indonesian (no guys are allowed :P), please come to -dx3-'s place and we'll have a party!! But dont forget to bring your food. :P

Ohh..last night I talked with Enen and she said I should make novel about my own life. Hahahaha..that will be something, huh? Roller coaster ride with Mony. Yupe, surely a lot of things happened during our 6 years staying in US. I think that is the critical point in shaping who we really are until today. I feel that my personality has changed quite a lot since I have been living in US. For instance, I used to want to please everyone. I will sacrifice my own need and want to please everyone. Now, I don't do that anymore except for people that I love. No more pleasing everybody, because that will only cause troubles for me.
And I particularly don't really like our Indo's habits which we always try to give a good/positive impression in front of our friends, family, etc eventhough when we don't really like that people. Why should we be a hypocrite? If we don't like to hang out with some people, so don't try to give a impression that we like them. I know we are not supposed to hate people, but what I m trying to say is, sometimes when you feel that you are not comfortable near someone, well..stay away then. I like Americans that they always say what they think, to the point and straight and no hard feeling. But us, nooo...we generally tend to agree to what anyone says just to please everyone. I have learned not to do that, especially now in MBA class setting, if you agree to anything they say, they will look down on you. So..people..quit pleasing everyone and try to be yourself!!!Do you agree???
This is fact..out of millions of people in this world, we will have at least 2 people that love us unconditionally. We don't need to have everyone to like us...It's ok that someone may not like you as long as you are true to yourself and to others. Live your life and be a good person. Like a famous Indo celeb says "So what gitu lohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

hahahha....anyway.. I gotta get ready to go to my meeting.
Have a great Mondayyyyyy

FYI -- Coke Plus Ajinomoto?

I received a news about the recent tactic used to spike girls' drink. It
is a cheap and widely used method. This method is used in Canny Ong murder.

Rapist use this method.?Coca-cola + ajinomoto/ monosodium glutomate = a
medicine which will cause drowsiness and excitement in the victim.

This?mixture is poisonous if used too often on the victim. Please send
this to all your female friends and ask them to beware.

DO NOT accept coca-cola or any other drinks from stranger / even if it is
your friend that you are not very close with.

Pics from KS

TWO MOMMIES..

Back from KC

Here is a song that I really like recently. I recommend to listen to it while reading my blog :P

We got back from KC this early morning around 2.30 am. I dont know why I couldnt sleep right away when I got home. I think I must have slept at 3 or 3.30 am. That's why I woke up this morning with a big headache. Hmphhh...but I enjoyed my trip to KC. I miss Enen!!!!! I have to let you know that Enen a.k.a Anita is one of my bestest friends. I met her right at the first day of orientation at Iowa State University. When I first saw her, I thought she was from China because she has such a small eye and her appearance (Capetown Hard-Rock Cafe shirt with Jeans, with blue bandana for her hair and she was carrying a red backpack with Dutch keychains) looks soo much like a girl from Mainland (Note: dont mean to offend anybody).
Anyway, I should tell you a story of how I met her because I think she is a gift from God for me. Surprisingly, right before both of us flew to US, we both prayed to God so He will give us one best friend when we got to Ames, IA. At that time, I and Enen didnt know each other but the fact that we prayed the same thing was so amazing to me. It's a long story so maybe I should tell you another time. I just want to say right now that Enen is one of the few people that can truly understand who I am inside and out. That's why whenever I am heart-troubled, I will call her :D Ennnnn, I will miss youu and your call and your text messages. But, Im glad that you will stay near my house back at home so I can visit you often in December. Love ya!

Lately I have been thinking many things...I have this ocean of thoughts, I dont know where that came from. I was looking back at the chapters of my life since I was in high school. I remember during those days when I had a crush with one boy. I always waited for his phone call and prayed hoping that he would call me. That feeling.. I tell ya.. the feeling of waiting for someone to call..is very hard to bear. hahahaha... Have you ever felt that way? When you like and miss someone so much that you wish he would call us..then when he really called, I would jump out from my chair or my bed and would run to the phone. LOL.. oh gosh..
I like the feeling when my maid called my name and said that there's a phone call for youuuuuu...haihaihaia Then, maybe some of you will ask why I didnt just call that boy instead of going crazy waiting for his phone call. The answer is..simply pride. I think I was always taught that men are the ones who should pursue women, not the other way around and to keep our pride high. LOL..thats why for all of you men out there..if you miss someone right now and too nervous to pick up the phone..please remember...there is a girl out there who might be waiting for your phone call and too scared to call you. I remember that when after I have waited for his phone call the whole day and he did not call me in the end, I would go to sleep at night feeling soooo sadddd...hihihihihi...pooorrrr Mony. Soo call me please.. ;)

Holaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hello peeps!!!
It's me again!! Yess..after disappearing for almost 2 months now..tee hee hee..
Thanks for my two best friends.. -gix- and dx3.. I decided to start writing my blog again..or at least.. TRY to update!! ahhahaha However, I cant promise that I can update this everyday like someone does!!! I am not that dilligent. :P

Gosh, I have been super busy with my work and my school, plus remember, I have a baby now! But since Chloe is almost 6 months old now..(I think that equals to 3.5 years old for human), I can breathe easily. She is not as naughty as she was when she was still 2-3 months old. Also, she now understands that she has to poop and pee outside the house. So that's a big relief. Well, sometimes if it's emergency she still poops inside but of course whenever she does that, she'll get a detention! LOL..

Hmmm...what's new with me? Not much.. Im still in school..But the good news is Im almost done this semester. In 3 weeks from now, I will be free. Hoorraaaayyyy... yess people, I will be free even before the Thanksgiving Break. We're planning to go to Chicago during thanksgiving weekend. I know some of my friends are going to NY but we decided not to go there since I have to save money to go back to Indo! hehehe..plus, Chicago is not so bad either. I'm planning to meet my best buddy there..hihihi so yay!

I will go back to Indo this December for a month, until Jan 5th. Oh man...I cant wait!!!! I want to eat that delicious food there..*DROOLING*
Thank you for -dx3- too for willing to take Chloe in when I am gone..huhuhu Desss, makasih lohyaaa..upahmu besar di surgaaaaaaaa LOL
Im sure Morgan would love to play around with Chloe huhuhu...but watch out I dont want to go home finding out that Chloe is pregnant with Morgan!!! So, des..pls remind me to neuteur my baby.. *hix*

Anyhow.. today is Friday, which means, I have to get my presentation slides ready today for Tuesday's class. BUMMER! And, I have to get ready to go to Kansas City tomorrow morning to meet my best friend! I cant wait. I want to see her big tummy (she's 4 month-old pregnant). She just called me too telling me that she doesnt have beds, cars, chairs in her house!! Everything is sold out!! GOSH!!... En, tell me, where should I sleep then? Poor Enen..she has to sleep on the floor eventhough her tummy is like a volley ball (she said that herself!).
I guess, we have to camp out then!

That's it for today.. not a bad entry, right? hihihi
