Xmas Day

On Xmas Day, We basically did nothing during the day, just watched TV and napped! Tee..hee..hee.. We then had Xmas Dinner at Ah Hyat Restaurant, near Senayan area. It is a very high-class seafood restaurant. I saw the biggest Crab ever!! It's from Australia and the price is around$9/ounce. Isn't it crazy??? So maybe we could spend around $100 just to eat one crab!! DANG! But no worries, we did not order that crab, since we thought besides it was overpriced, it was too big that we didn't have any appetite to eat that thing.

I have to say, though, the customer service at the restaurant deserves five stars!!!Everytime we sipped and finished our cup of tea, the waitress will come around and pour the tea. When we finished our small bowl of rice, they would take out the bowl from the table and replaced it with new ones. Everyone was full of smiles too!! Well... it didn't come with low price either, hahaha..The bill was around $80 for our table, but I think it was worthed!Great food, great service, great place,...what else can you ask for??
THAT's how we spent our Xmas day, huhuhuhu....no stuffed stockings, no xmas tree, no snow, no bright colorful xmas light....but when you can be with your family, everything feels alright. :)
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!

January

The month of January is a very special month? Why??
Because it is the first month that we will enter into a whole new beginning, a new year!!
It is the month which I have to experience adjusting to new classes, new professors, new tasks, yada yada yada..
It is the month that I have to fly back to US after a long fun vacation back at Indo
However, this January 2007 is more special than previous Januarys, because -sen- got a new job at a prestige company!! Huhuhuhu.. He is very happy to get that dream job...I, on the other hand, feel half happy, half sad....happy because he can do something that he loves and has dreamt for, sad because it means we have to be away from each other huhuhu...
I had a couple of LD relationships which in the end, it all turned out the same.. we broke up.. After that, I grew skeptical of LD relationship...
However, I suppose I can give another try to LDR, I really hope that this time will work out,
I mean, come on..both of us is much older now, means we have to be wiser, we cannot depend on only feelings.. I believe, LOVE alone is not enough to hold a great marriage or any relationship. It has to be supported by something more powerful...I believe that will be God's love. Thus, I believe in Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[a] who[b] have been called according to his purpose."
AMEN!

Hmm, if -sen- says that CO is a great place to live, I probably will consider to find jobs over there.. but let's ee
Lets just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Merry Xmas from Chloe Sidharta

Hohohoooo... Merry X'mas!!!!255h December, such a special day...yet I don't really feel Xmas spirit here in Indo. It is still Xmas Eve now...I went to JPCC church with my family this morning.. Gosh..it was super crowded.. We then had to sit outside the auditorium due to the limited capacity. Dang!!! It was super hot...I kept sweating during the service, thus, I did not really enjoy it. Hmphh.. However, I think I like this particular church. It has a cool band (if you know and like GMB christian band, you will like this church since they all go to this church). Many youngsters go here, I even met my old friends. When I met two of them, I only remember one of their names. hauahuhauha.... Despite that, I pretended to still remember their names and chit chat for a bit. :P
Anyhow.. I just want to say Merry Xmas for everyone. This picture is taken by me, and Chloe is wearing real Elf costume..and Dx3 is the one who made the graphic stuffs.. heuehhue
Have a merry and blessed x'mas!!!!! syallommmmmmmmmm...

Happy Graduation

I forgot to say here...Happy Graduation to my friend, Utie.. Bravooo... Hmm.. Im sorry I could not be at your graduation, but I hope you had a great celebration.
Well... next May, it will be my time to celebrate my graduation. It should be very interesting.. ehehhee
Who knows, I might laugh in joy or in tears.. hihihih

Last night I met my very dearest friend after such a long time! Woohooo... I had dinner with her at Sushi Tei.. Yum..but I didnt dare to take sushis that had raw fish on it. (I still have trauma due to food poisoning). I only took the ones with cooked fish.. ehehhehe.. the highlight is Davina treated me!! LOL... well.. thanks to her!! :)
After that, we bought gift for our pregnant friend..hihih...and we went to her place at Park Royale Apt. hmmm it was quite nice apartment. I actually like it.
We talked for an hour maybe, then we had to go home. :P

Ahhhhhh, how I will miss my beloved friends here ... :( very sad!!!! but life goes on. I guess...

Ola..
About two days ago I finally went again to that market where I had food poisoning last week. Thank God, this time I completed my journey with flying colors. I managed to take away 2 purses, 4 blouses, 2 pair of sandals. It was pretty tiring actually. I think we spent about 5 hours in the market, walking around and trying to find great deals with my limited bargaining skill. LOL. But when I showed off all of the stuffs to my mom, she said everythig looked great. The most important thing is, they dont look cheap. HAHAHA. I actually bought 1 purse for my mom, but she said I can have it since she's already had million of purses. So yay!!

Anyhow.. today I spent most of my afternoon at salon! DANG! 3 hours just sitting around, waiting for my hair to be colored. It was very very boring. Luckily, they had the TV turned on so I can watch Indonesian sinetron (telenovela). I dont know why, but almost every Indo telenovela shows some rich gal/boy fall in with poor gal/boy and the parents dont allow them to be together. Yada yada yada... BORING!

Hmmphh.. that's it... xmas is coming soon.. here in Indo, I dont really see Xmas decoration unless we are at malls. Thus, I dont really feel xmas spirit.. :(
Well well.. I gotta go now...

Adios

Oh No

Tick tock tick tock.. It's 17th already!!!! That means, I only have around 2 weeks here.. :( so sad... ohh such a mixed feeling! On the other side, I am happy to go back home to Ames, but I am sad as well because I have to leave my family here :(
I really want to bring my parents to US one day so they can stay close to us here. So, please God, help us.. AMEN!

Anyhow..today I just got an email from my beloved friend, Dx3, telling me that Chloe was missing. For those of you who dont know yet, Chloe is my puppy, she is a hyperactive Jack Russell!! hahaha....Very cute and very energetic.... I was a lil bit shocked when I heard that she was missing, but thank GOD, she was found by someone and placed at the shelter. I feel sorry for Dx3 too because I am sure she must be shocked and panicked...huhuhuhuhu...
It's ok, Des.. I know you are taking good care of my baby!! Thanks for bringing her home!

On the other note.. what Ramona has been doing for the last 3 days?? Oh nothing really.. I went to work at my dad's office, then went to the mall with my dad on Saturday, stayed at home the whole day on Friday (because of the food poisoning, remember?), then went to church on Sunday. Basically, every evening (almost), either I got a call from my friends here or I gave a call to my old friends.. so I always talk on the phone for hours "almost" every evening...very tiring actually, but very enjoyable at the same time because I realize that my best friends don't change a bit (in terms of personality).. they are still funny!! hahaha..Do you know that you can do something to prove if someone is your "best" friend or not. Well, at least I figure this out and it works for me. If you are separated thousands of miles and never talk to them again for years, and when you meet or talk to them again after all those missed years and you are still "connected", that means they are still your best friends! HAUAHUAHAU...
I have friends from junior high, and when I talked to them on the phone 2 years ago, I dont even know what they were talking about, it seems like they were someone else, and not friends that I used to know..hauhaua It felt very weird.. have you every felt that before? You feel that you dont even know this person anymore... thats what I feel. Oh well....friends do come and go, but only "special" friends stick with us no matter what.

Anyhow, The only thing that is changed with my best friends: they are getting ready to get married next year...Now.. I know 4 of my best friends are going to get married in the year of 2007!!! ahuahuahaa....
DANG!!! I feel left behind!!! :P
Kidding! I dont really want to get married now anyhow.. WHY? because I still want to get a steady job, get my life together, fulfill my dream and plus I am not ready for that big commitment yet.. :P Hopefully in the next 2-3 years, I will be ready to step on the aisle.. :D

That's it for today! Im happy to know that my Chloe is still a TARZAN, since she wins the TUG-OF-WAR (versus Morgan), ahuahuahuaha

Failed Mission (hix)

Today, I was supposed to go shop with my cousin at Mangga 2. It is a place where we can buy things cheaper from regular stores' price. The secret is, you have to be smart at bargaining with the sellers. I was so ready to go into the 'battle'.. I wore my ugliest shirt and ugliest pant..hahaha.. We arrived there about noon, then I bought computer mic for only $2. My cousin wanted to fix her CPU but it turned out that it would be better if she just buy a new CPU rather than fix that old junk.

Anyway, so after that, we went to have lunch at Japanese Fast Food, called "Hoka Hoka Bento". I chose that place because I thought it was cleaner compared with other restaurants in the area. I ordered fried shrimp with veggie salad, plus miso soup and Coke as my drink. Looks yummy.. "Itadakimassss" (Happy Eating in Japanese).

Then, around 15 minutes after we finished our lunch, I started to feel funny. I felt my body was twice heavy, I thought maybe it was because of MSG. So we continued walking around. However, as we continued to walk further and further, I started to sweat excessively. Not a good feeling at all. Then I started to feel like I was going to faint ( I have fainted before, so I know what are the symtoms, hauahuaha).
Oh well... then we decided to go home. :( As we walked to the parking place (it was a very long distance to walk from where we were to the parking place), I felt like vomitting. Thus, I stopped at the nearest restroom, and did my business there. Oh gosh.. I felt like I was going to die.. I was sweating literally like a pig. Cold sweat, that's what it was. My face was very pale. I can feel that my heart started to beat faster than normal rate. I stayed at the restroom for around 20 minutes, trying to get my energy back to walk to the car and go home. I vomitted three times.
DANG! I heard everyone was whispering outside the stall, asking around if I was OK. I really dont care what they said,.. they might feel annoyed because I stayed inside the stall for 20 mins.. hahahaha sorry loh ya..

Anyhow.. then by the Grace of God, I was able to get my energy back to get out from the restroom and walked back to car. Hmph... all my plans to go shop today was ruined by that food! Never ever I want to touch raw veggies here unless I cook by myself. That's what I might call Food Poisoning.

I feel sorry for my cousin for having to cancel all the plan to shop around. sorry baby... huhuhu..i will make it up to you next week (no more shopping this week!!!)

Well, that's my adventure for today. Once again, if it was not by the Grace of God, I might have ended up at the hospital today.
Thank You God!

What Have I Been Up to?

Wow... It's been a week since I arrived at Jakarta.. oh gosh.. time sure goes fast.. I really cant believe it! Oh well... that means the time when I have to go back to US is coming soon...makes me sad to think about it..well actually, happy too.. it's a mixed feeling..

Hmm anyway.. What is my impression of my beloved city??
1. TRAFFIC JAM = SUX! (motorbikes are everywhere.. oh gosh)
2. People always "sundul menyundul" ...--> no queque..people always try to cut short their way EVERYWHERE, for instance, in streets when they're driving, in stores when they want to pay at cashiers, in restaurants when they want to buy food...
3. SMELLY!!!! Body Odor.. ewwwwww....thats what I smell when I walk around public street
4.Lots of strayed dogs and cats..makes me sad to see them.. if only they were in the US, Im sure someone will take them up from street and bring them to shelters.. :(
5. Hot and humid place...gosh.. I have to take a shower twice a day now..hihihi...
6.GREAT FOOD!..despite those bad things, I love the food here..hmm yum yum slurp..
7.Great Place to SHOP... hohohoh.... if you are good in bargaining, u will have one place here just like a Heaven...Horray!
8. Home sweet home.. there's no place like home..with my parents, and my friends here...makes my stay feel more enjoyable :P

Ohh I miss my Chloeeeeeeeeee.... I miss Lalat Tse too..hihihih

Thats it for today..

Home sweet Home

Hello... Whats new? Im currently at my hometown, Jakarta, Indo for xmas holiday. Gosh..like last year, the first time I touched the ground at Cengkareng Airport, I got a "surprise".
Guess what.. I lost one of my luggages. Yupeeee...It's been 1.5 days and still nothing. I called the office and they told me that my luggage was lost at LA airport and hopefully they will get it to the next flight, which will be arriving tomorrow at 1.30pm. Lets all cross our fingers and hope for the best.

The journey from Ames went like this:
Ames-DSM (45 mins)
DSM-Dallas (2 hr)
Dallas-LA (3hr) + 45 mins transit time
LA-Hongkong (14hr)+4 hr transit time
Hongkong-Jakarta (4 hr).
SUBTOTAL = 27.5 hours!!!! (If I do my math correctly)

Oh wait... plus additional 1 hour to wait for luggages, reported lost luggage to lost and found, went through security screening.
So, a total of 28.5 hours is the total journey from Ames to Jakarta.
How sweet!! I felt like my butt was flat from sitting down all those time and my feet was swolen because of the high pressure from the plane.

Furthermore, my stress increased when I found out that I lost my luggage, it was like, my fear finally came true. Dang it! But, luckily, I got my favorite noodle for lunch "Bakmi Anyan" to ease my pain..yum yummm...
Oh well.... that's a glimpse of Indo. hahahaha..

Today is my second day at Jkt.. I still feel like staying at home and sleep a lot. But when I tried to sleep, my mind wondered everywhere. Although my eyes were shutting down, but 70% of my brain was still awake. Do we call this, "Jet Lag", everyone?

Despite the bad side of my journey, I met a very good woman during my flight from LA to Hongkong. She really resembles my late grandma. She is a very kind lady. We talked for the last 2 hours of our flight and I found out that she has a great faith in God. It surprised me because beside my mom, no body every gave me a preach, hahahaha...She shared her life story how God saved her and blessed her. She is now enjoying her retirement (she is 66 yrs old), and she is flying with her husband to Philipine. At the end, we switched our contact information and she kept saying "God bless you, you are like my daughter.. I know you will have a bright future, God bless you!".. Wowwww... Thank God, I met her.. I feel like she could be my friend for a long time, which reminds me that I need to email her now. hihihihi...

Anyway...thats my story for today.. It's 8 pm, I feel like sleeping already, but I and my cousin made a schedule to talk on the phone at 8! hahaha... sooo.. I guess, I will be waiting her call then.
Adios Amigos..

I miss my beddddd !!!
